Friends, I am so excited about my very first guest post! Why? Because my guest author is none other than my wonderful hubby! Yay!
I am always so wrapped up in our every day tasks, and goings on that I never really stop and think (or ask), what my husband’s thoughts on homeschooling are. I know he is pro homeschool, and he always jumps in and takes over teaching responsibilities when I need a break, yet we never talk about what he thinks, what he sees, and how he truly feels about homeschooling. How does he view our daily homeschool activities? What is his perspective? So, after a bit of discussion, he agreed to share a few words with you here today. (Thanks, babe!) So here it is, friends. Straight from my husband’s heart to yours. Enjoy!
“Growing up things were a little hard for me to understand. I needed a hands on approach to learning.
I wish I had been homeschooled back then, and I love that we homeschool our boys now.
My wife does an excellent job! (Awe! Thanks, babe!)
I try to help with some of the lessons, and as I do, I get to re-learn things I had forgotten from when I went to school.
I also have the opportunity to watch my boys learn in their own way.
There are a lot of benefits to homeschooling such as one on one learning, working at the pace of each child, and no rush to finish.
Our boys understand what they have learned. There are limited distractions.
I have seen them grow so much! They are always telling me what they have learned, and they actually use what they have learned in their every day lives.
It’s like having little adults in the house.”
Friends, I cannot express how much his words mean to me. His love and support are truly priceless, and we are truly blessed to have him in our lives! Thank you, Jason for sharing with us today! Thank you for all you do! I love you!
